Introducing the ePCRIV Feature: PCR ID Key

The ePCRIV software has introduced a versatile feature called the “PCR ID Key,” designed to enhance the flexibility and efficiency of patient care reporting. This feature allows agencies to customize the primary identifier for Patient Care Reports (PCRs), making it easier to manage and search for reports.

To configure the PCR ID Key settings, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Agency Setup:

    • Log in to your ePCRIV account at agency.epcriv.com.
    • Go to the Agency Setup section.
  2. Configure PCR Preferences:

    • Within Agency Setup, select PCR Preferences.
    • Here, you will find the settings for the PCR ID Key.
  3. Select the Desired PCR ID Key Option:

    • You can choose from the following options:
      • Patient Care Report Number
      • Incident Number
      • EMS Response Number

Functionality of the PCR ID Key Feature

Depending on the selection made in the PCR Preferences, the main searching criteria for the PCR ID will change. Additionally, the displayed value in the first column of the PCR list will reflect the chosen main ID for the report. This customization allows agencies to align the PCR ID with their specific operational needs and preferences.

Benefits of the PCR ID Key Feature

The PCR ID Key feature offers several key benefits:

  • Enhanced Searchability: Allows for more efficient searching and retrieval of PCRs based on the selected identifier.
  • Customizable Reporting: Provides flexibility in how reports are organized and displayed, catering to the unique needs of each agency.
