PCR Short Form (60 seconds form)

Introducing the ePCRIV Feature: Short Form

The ePCRIV software has introduced a convenient new feature called “Short Form,” designed to expedite the patient care reporting process. This feature allows users to quickly create a concise Patient Care Report (PCR) in just one screen, ensuring that essential information is captured efficiently.

Accessing the Short Form Feature

To enable and utilize the Short Form feature, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Agency Setup:

    • Log in to your ePCRIV account at agency.epcriv.com.
    • Go to the Agency Setup section.
  2. Enable Short Form in PCR Preferences:

    • Within Agency Setup, select PCR Preferences.
    • Locate the switch for the Short Form feature and toggle it to the “On” position.

Functionality of the Short Form Feature

Once enabled, the Short Form option will be available in the PCR list. This feature allows users to create a short PCR in just one screen, where they can enter the main report information, including:

  • Patient Information
  • Vitals
  • Scene Details
  • Location
  • Times

After filling out and signing the short form, users can save the record. If the Hospitals / FAX setting is enabled for the destination facility, the report will be automatically sent to the destination fax. Users can then edit the record later to complete it as a full PCR.

A PCR Template can be selected when the short form is created to include the template information on the full Patient Care Report.

Benefits of the Short Form Feature

The Short Form feature offers several key benefits:

  • Quick Documentation: Allows for rapid entry of essential patient care information, saving time in urgent situations.
  • Streamlined Workflow: Simplifies the reporting process by consolidating key information into a single screen.
  • Automated Communication: Automatically sends the report to the destination facility via fax, ensuring timely information sharing.
  • Flexibility: Provides the option to edit and complete the report as a full PCR later, ensuring comprehensive documentation.
